A system for analysing fault currents on overhead lines, particularly medium voltage overhead lines, the system comprising: three measuring sensors (100) each consisting of a coil (102) forming a current transformer wired to its respective phase line (A, B, C) at the potential of the latter, and an electronic unit (150) for measuring the amplitude of the current emerging from the associated transformer coil (102) and for generating sequentially an electromagnetic wave modulated by a signal (164) representative of the amplitude of the detected current; the said modulation of the electromagnetic wave is synchronised with each respective phase in order to transmit phase data; a measuring station (200) remote from the measuring sensors (100) can receive the electromagnetic wave from each measuring sensor (100) and can analyse the faults from the encoded data on the amplitude and from the argument defined by the synchronised repetition rate of this wave. <IMAGE> |
