Disclosed is a method of welding a steel sheet and a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) sheet, capable of welding the steel sheet and the CFRP sheet only by using a laser heat source without an additional bonding part or coupling part. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method of welding the steel sheet and the CFRP sheet includes a surface treatment step, a loading step, a compression step, and a heating step. According to the surface treatment step, fine surface treatment is performed with respect to the surface of a welding part of the steel sheet by a radio frequency (RF) pulse laser beam to form a scratched surface. According to the loading step, the steel sheet is overlapped with the surface of a welding part of the CFRP sheet so that the scratched surface makes contact with the surface of the welding part of the CFRP sheet, and is loaded onto a jig. According to the compression step, an electronic magnet on the jig is operated so that the CFRP sheet and the steel sheet are mutually compressed. According to the heating step, in the state that the CFRP sheet and the steel sheet are compressed, an outer surface of the steel sheet corresponding to the scratched surface is heated in contact with a heating mold, so that heating is performed to a melted point of the CFRP sheet through heat transfer of the steel sheet. |
