PURPOSE:To make line inseparable against vibration. CONSTITUTION:A modular jack has a housing 12 having a plug inserting recessed part 14 in which a modular plug is inserted, plural slots 21 opened to/formed in the plug inserting recessed part 14 in this housing 12 and plural contact point pins 13 which are housed in these slots 21 and whose tips are brought into pressure contact with a contact point terminal of the modular plug by projecting from the slots 21. The depths of the plural slots 21 are different from each other, and the projecting widths of the respective contact pins 13 from the slots 21 are different from each other.
