PURPOSE:To efficiently cope with plural color spaces flowing through a network. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an input color reproducing characteristic data retaining part 3 where plural color reproducing characteristic data of an input device 5 are retained, a color correction part 1 for input use which uses color reproducing characteristic data retained by the input color reproducing characteristic data holding part 3 to perform the color correction from the color space of the input device to a reference color space, an output color reproducing characteristic data retaining part 4 where plural color reproducing characteristic data of an output device 6 are retained and a color correction part 2 for output use which uses color reproducing characteristic data retained by the output color reproducing characteristic data retaining part 4 to perform the color correction from the reference color space to the color space of the output device 6. |
