PURPOSE:To make it possible to have a chance to play even an non-recordable piece of music by suitable protection of the copyright by discriminating the possibility of recording corresponding to read copyright information and controlling a recorder corresponding to the discriminated result. CONSTITUTION:A system controller 7 reads a copyright code corresponding to a read music select number from a RAM 13. Since there is the copyright code in data read and written from a disk 7 into the RAM 13 at the time of install, the copyright is read. Based on the read copyright code, it is discriminated whether the selected piece of music can be recorded or not. As a recording possibility data table, the copyright code, copyright owner and recording possibility are previously written in a ROM 14 provided outside the system controller. Then, it is discriminated from the recording possibility table whether the selected piece of music can be recorded or not. When it can be recorded, the recording enable state is displayed and when it can not be recorded, a recording disable state is displayed. |
