PURPOSE:To provide a document processor which can input document data while inputting, erasing or correcting a pair of parenthesis symbols with one simple input operation and can print those document data on a medium to be printed. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted so as to store parenthesis symbol data in the print format information storage area of a text memory by selecting the desired parenthesis symbols from a table stored in a ROM through a parenthesis symbol setting key provided on a keyboard (S5: YES and S6) and to print data such as characters on a tape for printing with a thermal head while adding those parenthesis symbols before and after character or symbol data stored in the text memory based on a key input (S13: YES) from a print key. On the other hand, a parenthesis symbol cancel key is provided and such a parenthesis symbol cancel key is operated just once (S9: YES) so that the parenthesis symbols set by the parenthesis symbol setting key can be erased (S10). |
