PURPOSE:To prevent the dropping-out of an active material and ensure battery life in an electrode plate in which the active material is held in a lead alloy grid body having an inner skeleton thinner than a framework arranged closer to one side in the thickness direction of the framework. CONSTITUTION:A lead-acid battery is constituted by use of an electrode plate obtained by superposing lead-acid grid bodies in which inner skeletons 102, 202 thinner than frameworks 101, 201 are arranged closer to one side in the thickness direction of the frameworks 101, 201, and charging an active material therein. When the two lead acid grid bodies are superposed, they may be superposed with the surfaces on the side to which the inner skeletons 102, 202 are arranged closer inside, or the surfaces on the side to which the inner skeletons 102, 202 are arranged closer outside. |
