PURPOSE:To realize a varistor, which has excellent non-linear resistance characteristics, in which leakage currents in a low current region are reduced and which is stable against the application of voltage, by providing a sintered body obtained by simultaneously adding TiO2 and a potassium component and an indium component to ZnO and baking the molded form of calcined powder. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of 0.5mol Bi2O3, 1.0mol CoO, 0.5mol MnO, 0.5mol NiO, 0.1mol Cr2O3 and 0.5mol TiO2 is added to 100mol ZnO as additives, and mixed, ground and dried through a wet method. Each aqueous solution of 0.0005-0.015mol indium nitrate in terms of In2O3 and 0.003-0.2mol gallium nitrate in terms of Ga2O3 is added, pressure-molded and calcined, and ground, thus manufacturing calcined powder. A molded form having a specified shape is prepared by using the calcined powder, and baked in an atmosphere, thus manufacturing a discoid sintered body. |
