PURPOSE:To provide a low insertion force connector by which a fitting directional length is reduced by dislocating and inserting connector housings to engage slidably freely with each other. CONSTITUTION:The first and the second connector housings 30 and 70 to house terminals respectively are made slidable freely mutually by engaging seals 38 and 74, and positions of the housings 30 and 70 are dislocated by a prescribed quantity. When the housing 70 is inserted in a fellow connector and the connector is fitted, the housing 30 reaches a temporary engaging part 42 in an intial fitting position of the connector, and locks the fellow connector through a lock part 47 when it reaches a main body engaging part 40 in a normal fitting position. In this constitution, a fitting directional length is reduced without making the fitting directional length different from each other, and a connector having lower insertion force than in collective fitting can be obtained. |
