PURPOSE:To provide a carrier sense system in which a carrier for control can be exactly retrieved while shortening the interruption time of communication at the time of operating the carrier sense of the carrier for control while operat ing communication by a carrier for communication. CONSTITUTION:Between a base station which operates communication by a carrier for control/communication by using a TDMA-TDD system and a portable station which operates communication by the carrier for communication by using the TDMA-TDD system, the portable station operates the carrier sense of the carrier for control from the base station.
