PURPOSE:To obtain a picture processor and its method applying picture element density conversion to a binary picture subject to pseudo intermediate tone processing by an indefinite processing method into an optional magnification in an excellent way. CONSTITUTION:When a projected face magnification command section 13 commands a magnification of a picture element of a converted picture projected on an original picture, a converted picture element position arithmetic operation section 12 calculates a picture element position (X, Y) of the converted picture projected on the original picture in response to the commanded magnification. Then a picture element Ix of the converted picture element is calculated according to the calculated picture element position (X, Y) and a picture element of the original picture corresponding to the converted picture element and a density reservation binarization processing section 16 binarizes the picture element based on the calculated picture element by the density reservation binarization method. |
