PURPOSE:To prevent time loss when a copying action is started again after paper jam by obtaining such constitution that the releasing processing of the paper jam manually executed by an operator and the idle feeding processing of a document for starting the copying action again can be executed in parallel. CONSTITUTION:At a paper carrying part including a paper supply part 6, paper carrying paths 71-73, a paper ejection tray part 9 and an intermediate tray 10; jam sensors S1-S9 for detecting the paper jam in a copying machine main body 1 are provided. The bundle of the documents already copied are placed on the bundle of the documents which are not copied when the jam occurs and the document of the jammed paper is fed on the documents already copied. Then, the bundle of the documents which are not copied is fed on the documents already copied on a document tray and the bundle of the documents already copied are successively carried to the document tray from the lower side. At this time, the document of the jammed paper is placed at the lowest part of the bundle of the documents and fed when the copying processing is started next. Therefore, the paper jam is released in parallel while the circulation processing of the document is executed. |
