PURPOSE:To detect and track a target having a small reflective amplitude by deciding the validity of an imaginary motion path starting from an imaginary target pixel, determining a target probability based on the target motion probability of each effective path and the non-noise probability on the path, and then displaying the path along with the target probability. CONSTITUTION:Unit pixel amplitude information is stored 11 for each scanning screen and an arbitrary pixel is specified 12 as an imaginary target. An imaginary motion path 13 starting from a specified imaginary target is imagined and unit pixels on the path are extracted 14 as identical imaginary targets. The amplitudes of the unit pixels thus extracted are then averaged 15 to determined an average amplitude value. A reference amplitude is set 17 depending on the number of samples and a reference amplitude value Vref thus set is compared with the average amplitude thus deciding 16 the validity of pixel information. Valid pixel information is then converted 18 into non-noise probability information with reference to an amplitude/non-noise probability conversion table. A target probability operating section 22 determines a true target probability based on the non-noise probability information and a target motion probability obtained from the operating section 20 and displays 23 the true target probability.
|
