<p>PURPOSE: To absorb printed circuit boards of various thicknesses. CONSTITUTION: A circuit board surface mount type electric connector 14 has a dielectric housing 24, having an electric terminal means 20 mountable on the surface of a base by a terminal means, a solder tub, and a presser clip 26 which has an anchor leg part 30 for mounting a clip on the housing and an elastic leg part 28 protruding from the anchor leg part and displaceably movable thereto. The elastic leg part can be protruded through the hole of the base, together with a latch means for mounting the connector on the base, the presser clip moves the leg part in the vertical direction of the base with respect to the housing when the housing is in operating position, and energizes the latch means on the opposite side of the base, whereby the leg part is spring- energizing so as to absorb various thicknesses of printed boards.</p> |
