Waveguide band-rejection (band-stop) filter

A waveguide band-rejection filter which is technically very easy to produce consists in two parallel waveguide paths (1, 2) being present, which are connected to each other at their inputs and outputs, in each case via a waveguide junction. One of the two waveguide paths (1, 2) is designed as a band-pass filter, the transmission range of which corresponds to the frequency band, of the total filter arrangement, which it is intended to block. Both waveguide paths (1, 2) are dimensioned such that waves lying in the transmission range of the band-pass filter and fed in phase at the input into both waveguide paths (1, 2) are phase-shifted by 180 DEG with respect to one another at the outputs of the waveguide paths (1, 2). <IMAGE>
