Shape recognition method

A shape recognition method is designed for the purpose of representing the shape of an object in a series of points in a two-dimensional plane and a shape pattern for a comparison to be carried out therewith of the shape of the object in a geometric form as a set of a limited number of node points and line elements which produce a connection between the respective node points, of fixing a standard value and a tolerance therein implying the standard value with respect to a feature which is the length or the gradient of the respective line elements of the shape pattern, and of determining the degree of agreement of the shape of the object with the shape pattern on the basis of any deviation from the standard value and the relationship to the tolerance of the shape of the object to the comparison of the shape of the object with the shape pattern.
