Double-chamber fluid distributor and process for the production thereof

The invention relates to a double-chamber fluid distributor, also called pipe manifold, having an elongate distributor housing (1, 2). Said housing is subdivided, by means of an inner partition wall arranged in the longitudinal direction, into two chambers which are each in connection with inflows and outflows. In the case of the present invention, the partition wall (3) has a U-shaped cross-section. This configuration of the partition wall gives rise to a number of advantages. It thus permits, despite a comparatively small number of semifinished-product profile sizes, new possible variations both in the size of the chamber volumes produced and in the size ratio between the two chambers. The production of said pipe manifolds takes place in a simple manner, and it has also been possible to improve the manufacturing quality. Finally, the use of the weldment rules has led to a longer service life of the pipe manifolds. <IMAGE>
