A card cover is proposed for chip cards, telephone cards or similar thin-walled cards with rounded corners, having card stops (12, 13) in the region of the corners (10, 11) at its rearward narrow side, on which stops a pushed-in chip card rests with its rounded corners. The card edge of the pushed-in card extends flush with the edge of the covering surface (1) at the rearward narrow side (9) of the card cover. <IMAGE>
