For improvement in a device for connecting a hose line to a connection screw-joint of a hot-water tank, it is proposed that an intermediate piece consisting of a material which is a poor heat conductor be first of all provided on the connection screw-joint, on which intermediate piece the hose line is connected on the downstream side, the intermediate piece exhibiting, on the inlet and outlet sides, in each case one approximately horizontal inlet duct and outlet duct, which are both connected to one another via an approximately vertical duct loop in the intermediate piece.
