The circuit arrangement (9) contains a valve (10), a piston/cylinder unit (21), a stroke-limiting valve (25), a pump (16), a hydraulic-fluid tank (19), a pneumatic control valve (24) and a compressed-air source (24.1). A 3/3-way spool (12) is operated by means of a pneumatic control piston (13) and a coupling (55). Furthermore, it is subject to the action of the restoring spring (15) and the return and compensation spring (23) as well as the hydraulic pressure, acting via the pressure-relief valve (26) and the choke point (47), in the high-pressure control chamber (28) for relieving the pump (16) and for saving energy. <IMAGE>
