The invention relates to a building. The building comprises a number of room-delimiting walls which are connected to one another and at least one of which is formed by a series of wooden beams which are arranged parallel to one another with spaces between them. The largest transverse dimension of the beams is positioned transversely to the surface of the wall, and the cross section of the intervening spaces is of the same order of magnitude as the cross section of the beams. The result is a building of environmentally responsible design which, moreover, can be erected economically.
