A starch foam moulded part finds multiple uses as an environmentally compatible mass produced article, for example in areas where large amounts of disposable products are required. The starch foam moulded part is possibly reinforced with textile fibers, is produced by pressing and degrades after use, or even during use already. The advantages of part according to the invention are that it has many possibilities of use, may be processed in various ways and is biologically degradable.
