The invention relates to a child safety seat, comprising a tub-like body with a bearing bracket which can pivot about a transversely oriented shaft and is attached to the side walls thereof, and with additional carrying handles on the front and back walls of the tub-like body. According to the invention, the front and rear additionally carrying handles are each formed by a bracket-shaped grip support at the bottom, which lies with its underside (virtually) in the plane of the tub base and projects towards the front or towards the rear, respectively. <IMAGE>
