An optical image stabilizer according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a motion sensor sensing vibration of a camera; a motion sensor resolution adjustment part adjusting a resolution of an output signal of the motion sensor; and a controller which moves a lens module on the basis of an output signal of the motion sensor resolution adjustment part and a position of a lens module. The controller can minimize power consumed in the optical image stabilizer in a preview mode, by reducing the resolution of the output signal of the motion sensor by controlling an operation of the motion sensor resolution adjustment part in the preview mode.
