The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for controlling a digital signal. The apparatus for controlling a digital signal according to the present invention comprises: a filter bank which includes a plurality of filters each of which has a structure of a finite impulse response (FIR) filter and in each of which the number of taps is determined based on a maximum bandwidth or a minimum bandwidth among predetermined bandwidths, which receives a digital input signal from the outside thereof, which controls the received digital input signal, and which outputs a digital output signal; a look-up table in which coefficients of the filters corresponding to pluralities of bandwidths and center frequencies have been stored; and a controller which receives a control signal, including a bandwidth and a center frequency desired to be set, from the outside thereof, which selects coefficients of the filters from the look-up table according to the control signal, and which sets the selected coefficients for the filters, and which controls the filter bank according to the control signal. According to the present invention, the apparatus for controlling a digital signal selects coefficients of the filters stored in the look-up table and sets the selected coefficients for the filters, thereby enabling bandwidths and center frequencies to be controlled without a change in a structure of the apparatus. |
