According to this process, 5 to 80% of a powdery thermoplastic substance (1) is mixed with a particulate non-thermoplastic substance (2) and the mixture is subjected to ultrasonic action while the compacting pressure is exerted on the mixture.
Compacted substances are obtained having different properties and structures depending on the nature of the thermoplastic (1) and non- thermoplastic (2) substances used and according to the arrangement of the mixture into a homogeneous layer or into several layers of different compositions.
