FIELD: metal processing.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas thermal coatings, particularly, to plasma spraying on parts operated in extreme conditions. Procedure for application of wear-resistant coating on steel parts, including introduction of disperse self-fluxing alloy powder based on nickel through a circular slit into the air-plasma jet with subsequent gas-dynamic focusing and its sputtering onto pre-treated steel part surface, is specified with the following: the self-fluxing nickel-based alloy powder of Ni-Cr-B-Si-C or Ni-Al, particles of which are coated with Ni-Cr solid solution alloy with the layer thickness of 2-6 µm; herewith the focusing gas used is a mixture of air and natural gas taken in the ratio of natural gas to air = (1.86÷4.88):1, and spraying is carried out at the average temperature of plasma jet of 5,750÷6,500 °K and its mass-average velocity of 2,170÷2,500 m/s.EFFECT: method of coating in the absence of flashing considerably increases hardness and wear resistance of the obtained coatings.1 cl, 2 tbl |
