<p>The invention relates to a method for the recycling of television tubes, in which, after pressure-release of the television tube and removal of the neck with the transmission system, the television tube is cut open at one or more predetermined points by the action of heat, the screen is cleaned, the coating materials applied to the inside are removed and the glass parts obtained, which are of different compositions, are fed separately to a recycling process. The apparatus for carrying out the method comprises a clocked automatic machine. The automatic machine has holding apparatuses for the television tubes to be processed, which holding apparatuses are arranged at intervals. The holding apparatuses are guided, one after the other, past individual processing stations at which the television tube undergoes scoring and the application of heat to impart to it a surface defect at which bursting of the television tube then occurs. After the cone part has been lifted off, the coating materials are removed from the screen. A useful reusing of the glasses, which have different compositions, is possible as a result of the separation into cone and screen. The removed coating materials can likewise be reused. <IMAGE></p> |
