PURPOSE:To count the number of inputted characters by providing a conversion part for the character conversion of inputted characters and numerals, storage part for storing the converted characters and counter for counting the number of characters stored in the storage part. CONSTITUTION:The characters and numerals or the like described in a document, etc., are inputted from an input part 1 and when a conversion key is operated, a conversion part 2 converts the inputted characters to 'characters such as Chinese characters (KANJI)' and converts them to any relevant character codes. The converted character codes are stored in a storage part 3 and displayed on a display part 9. On the other hand, a counter 7 counts the number of character codes stored in the storage part 3 in order to recognize how many characters are copied out fain. Then, the count value is stored in a memory part 8 and displayed on the display part 9. When it is desired to print the prepared document and the number of characters (the count value) on paper, by operating the print of the prepared document from the input part 1, a control part 12 reads the data in the storage part 3 and the memory part 8, prints and issues them on the paper by using a printing part 11. |
