PURPOSE: To safely and certainly enable electric connection inside a battery to be cut off at the time of overcharging of a lithium ion battery by providing a cut-off safety device which starts by a liquid pressure in case of overcharge. CONSTITUTION: A battery possesses its formula Lix Mo2 and in this formula, x is equal to or less than 1.1, and M consists of Ni, Co, Mn or positive poles 13, 14 that are combination of these elements, carbonic negative poles 12, 15 and consists of electrolytic liquid 8, consisting of one or more lithium salt resolved in more than one non-aqueous organic solvent. A circuit breaker started by liquid pressure at the time of over-charging is composed of diaphragm 17, exploded by receiving a specific force, a lid body 16 having a pressure-releasing hole 25 which is installed in a position above the diaphragm 17 and a plate 18 jointed to the diaphragm and separated from the diaphragm, when a specific force is applied thereto. |
