PURPOSE:To always stably and surely peel a transfer material by controlling the speed of peeling according to the thickness of the transfer material. CONSTITUTION:Transfer paper 1 conveyed by a transfer paper conveying means 14 has its thickness detected by a thickness sensor 15, the detection signal of which is then transmitted to a controller 5. In accordance with the thickness detection signal the controller 5 selects a thin mode with relatively small thickness of the transfer paper 1, and a thick mode if the thickness of the transfer paper 1 is greater than normal, and the controller 5 drives and controls a drive 4 in the selected mode. That is, whether the selected mode is the thin or normal mode, the driving speed of the drive 4 is set to a normal transfer speed during the transfer process, and when the thin mode is selected the driving speed of the drive 4 is set to a speed lower than the normal transfer speed during a peeling process. Therefore, thin transfer materials are slowly peeled. |
