PURPOSE:To absorb some slight spacing errors so as to connect both of connectors together even when a pair of connector devices on a base plate has some slight spacing errors by providing a movable housing on the base plate. CONSTITUTION:A receptacle connector device 10, which is provided with a group of receptacle contacts 16 electrically connected with a group of contacts on the opposed side and is supported on a base plate 12, consists of a fixed housing 11 mechanically fixed on the base plate 12 and a movable housing 13. The movable housing 13, in which a group of the receptacle contacts 16 are provided in a recessed part groove 13b and clearances C1, C2 crossing with each other at right angles are arranged toward the fixed housing 11, is supported movably in the plane direction of the base plate 12. Therefore, even when a pair of receptacle connector devices to be connected on the base plate has some slight spacing errors, they are absorbed, so that both of the connectors can be easily connected together. |
