PURPOSE: To provide a lock connecting member fixing a bolt in such a state as preventing it from loosening without any need of welding. CONSTITUTION: A lock connecting member 16 includes a collar 18 and a plurality of projections 28, 40 extending radially inwardly from an inner surface of the collar cooperated with a bolt 14 for holding the collar 18. The lock ring 38 surrounds the outer surface of the collar and has the initial inside diameter. The lock ring 38 is formed of shape memory metal alloy effective for shrinking the lock ring to a final inner diameter less than the initial inner diameter upon change in temperature thereof to in turn shrink the collar 18 for clamping the projections in locking contact with the bolt 14.
