<p>PURPOSE:To prevent rain water and the like from intruding through the joint of a flange by making annular grooves on the inside and outside of an annular insertion hole for fastening the flange and providing each groove with a sealing means. CONSTITUTION:The flanges 4, 4' of a pair of hermetically sealed vessels 3, 3' disposed contiguously are provided peripherally with a plurality of bolt insertion holes 10 and corresponding metals are embedded in an insulating spacer 6. Furthermore, an annular groove 12 is made in the opposing faces of the flanges 4, 4' corresponding to the embedded metals and the bolt insertion holes 10 are located in the bottom face of the groove 12. A single annular groove 14 is made concentrically with the groove 12 on the outside thereof and a sealing means is fitted along with an O-ring in the groove 14. This arrangement prevents rain water and the like from intruding through the joint of the flanges 3, 3'.</p> |
