PURPOSE:To provide a cleaning device where trouble in maintenance is prevented from getting much and image quality is prevented from being deteriorated by restraining contamination in a machine caused by the scattering of toner to the minimum even in the case a cleaning blade comes in contact with/ separates from a photoreceptor many times. CONSTITUTION:This cleaning device is provided with removing means 22-1 and 22-2 for removing the toner from an image carrier 19, a toner carrying screw 102 for carrying the removed toner, a housing 100 for housing the component elements, and a mechanism for allowing the respective component elements including the housing 100 to integrally come in contact with/separate from the surface of the image carrier; and it is provided with a control part controlling so that the toner carrying screw may be actuated when the respective component elements including the housing 100 separate from the image carrier 19. |
