The capping (24) of a fixating sealing insert has a bump (30) on the side of the knife-edge, which is enclosed with two back surfaces (29, 31). When the spacer is put into the place of a muff (3), the enclosing end (1) is forced into a muff (3), radially compressing the spacer body. Then, two back surfaces (29, 31) make a knife-edge (30) angle in the middle, pointed into the muff bottom.This invention is used for fixing pipes made of cast iron with spheroidal graphite, which are under tension. |
