<p>PURPOSE:To provide a separating method and a separating device of a platinum group element from an indissoluble residue by which the platinum group element can be recovered efficiently from the indissoluble residue in a simple process and a secondary waste can be also reduced. CONSTITUTION:An indissoluble residue 2 which is obtained in a reprocessing process of spent nuclear fuel and contains a platinum group element is put in a recovery tank 1 and is agitated together with mercury 3. Next, a mixed phase of the agitated dissoluble residue and mercury is rested, and is separated into two phases of a mercury phase 9 on which the platinum group element is stuck and a indissoluble residue phase 10 from which the platinum group element is gone. Next, the platinum group element is recovered from the separated mercury phase by a platinum group element separating means 7.</p> |
