<p>PURPOSE:To provide a picture processor in which the picture of a two-dimensional graphic can be encoded and decoded with high efficiency and high resolution. CONSTITUTION:A picture encoding device is constituted of a pre-processing picture converting part 1 which converts a picture so that an optimal encoding processing can be executed to an original picture to be encoded before encoding, irreversible encoding part 2 which executes an irreversible encoding processing to the pre-processed picture, reversible encoding part 3 which executes a reversible encoding processing to the pre-processed picture, and mixing part 4 which mixed code words outputted from the non-reversible encoding part 2 and the reversible encoding part 3. Also, a picture decoding device is constituted of a separating part 5 which separates picture information encoded by the picture encoding device, irreversible decoding part 6 which decodes a picture signal separated by the separating part 5, reversible decoding part 7 which decodes the picture signal from the separating part 5, and picture reconstituting part 8 which prepares a decoded picture from each output from the irreversible decoding part 6 and the reversible decoding part 7.</p> |
