CONNECTION SETTING STATE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To allow each repeater to grasp the connection setting state with respect to an adjacent repeater accurately in a short time by providing a management cell generating section and an identifier setting state monitor section to each repeater. CONSTITUTION:A management cell generating section 15 of each of repeaters 1-7 references contents of connection identifier conversion tables 131-133 of a concerned repeater periodically to generate a connection identifier setting state management cell and to send the cell to all adjacent repeaters. For example, the management cell generating section 15 of the repeater 1 sends the cell to the repeaters 2-7. An identifier setting state monitor section 16 of each of the repeaters 1-7, upon the notice of the received cell to be the connection identifier setting state management cell, recognizes the connection setting state information set in the cell. Thus, each repeater grasps the connection setting state accurately in real time.
