PURPOSE:To prevent a drawing shock at coasting and deterioration in acceleration when a throttle opening degree is high. CONSTITUTION:A lock-up judging device 14 judges whether a lock-up clutch should be engaged or released based on a throttle opening degree signal TV0 detected by a throttle opening degree sensor 10 and a car-speed signal detected by a car-speed sensor 12, and puts out a signal to a solenoid 16. When the lock-up clutch is released, the state is kept, while when the lock-up clutch is engaged, the state is kept or a lock-up clutch release pattern is selected based on TV0. That is, a pattern is selected so that an engagement force of the lock-up clutch is reduced faster at coasting, slower at the normal TV0 and slightly slower when the TV0 is large. |
