PURPOSE:To increase strength, to decrease heat conductivity, and to widen the design selection range of electric resistance in a cold condition by dispersing an oxide in a silver or silver alloy covering material. CONSTITUTION:In an oxide superconducting wire material composed by forming at least one composite of the structure of a conductive core made of an oxide superconducting material covered with silver or a silver alloy, an oxide is dispersed in the silver or silver alloy covering materail. For example, an oxide superconductor 2 represented by Ti2.0Ba1.6Sr0.4Ca2.0Cu3.0Odelta is used as a core, and 20 element wires each of which is covered with a silver sheath 1 in which an oxide is dispersed are heat welded to compose a conductor. A copper mesh lead is connected to each end of the condcutor and a voltage terminal is installed with a silver wire in the central part of the conductor. The conductor in which strength is increased, and electric conductivity and heat conductivity can be controlled according to applications is composed. Especially, the strength of the condcutor is remarakbly increased and its chemical stability is also increased. |
