PURPOSE:To apply an ideal rectangular-wave voltage, which is quick in a rise and a fall, to an electrooptic element to control a laser beam regenerative amplifying time. CONSTITUTION:In a laser beam regenerative amplifying device provided with an electrooptic element 6 arranged in a laser resonator, a pulse delay generator 25 is opened and shut while being controlled, whereby a first switching element 21 connected to an electrode plate 11 of the element 6 is shut and a high voltage is applied to the element 6, then, a second switching element 22 connected to the plate 11 of the element 6 is shut and grounded. Thereby, optical characteristics of the element 6 are changed by the application of the high voltage to the plate 11 then, the optical characteristics are returned by the grounding of the element 22. |
