PURPOSE:To easily control reflectance by varying the mixing ratio between the associated and nonassociated bodies of a dye material in a recording layer and controlling reflectance. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording medium 1 is composed of a substrate 2, a recording layer 3, a reflecting film 4 and a protective film 5 and the reflectance of the recording medium 1 is measured by irradiating the medium 1 with light and receiving reflected light. When the mixing ratio between the associated and nonassociated bodies of a coloring material in the layer 3 is varied, such a chemical reaction as that of the associated and nonassociated bodies of a material in the layer 3 in the case of a variation of the mixing ratio between them does not take place and the reflectance can easily and accurately be controlled. |
