<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method wherein slime can be removed simply without contaminating the sea and also without forcing unreasonable and dangerous labor upon workers. CONSTITUTION:The operation of a vaporizer provided with open-rack type vaporizer panels 1a-1h, wherein sea water is caused to flow over the panels so as to cover the entire surface thereof thereby obtaining latent heat of vaporization, is stopped temporarily. By utilizing troughs 11a-11h for letting water flow over the panels 1a-1h, hot water having a temperature higher than a temperature, at which the attaching force of slime having attached to the panels can be reduced, is caused to flow so as to cover the entire surface of the panels for a predetermined period of time. Thereafter, the slime attached to the surface of the panels is washed and removed by letting hot water or sea water flow thereover.</p> |
