PURPOSE:To realize a variety of controls (damping force control, between-vehicle distance control, fuel injection control, etc.) reflecting the traveling environment of a vehicle precisely at a low cost by utilizing the information of a GPS satellite. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle controller is equipped with a vehicle position calculating device 5 for calculating the absolute position of a vehicle on the basis of the receiving signal of a GPS receiver 1, information reading-out device 15 which records the road information in correspondence with the absolute position, recording/regenerating device 17, vehicle position calculating device 5, and an information processing device 20 connected with the recording/regenerating device 17 and a variety of control ECUs. On the basis of the latitude and longitude information supplied from a GPS satellite, the present position of the vehicle is calculated, and the kind of the road during traveling is specified from among the high speed road, winding road, rough road, etc., on the basis of the present position, and is reflected to a varity of controls. |
