PURPOSE: To reduce blooming at the output of a CCD image sensor by toggling at least two phases of a CCD after exposing a charge-coupled device(CCD). CONSTITUTION: A CCD has three phases 10-14 formed by three gate structures, and the phases 10-14 are separately controlled by corresponding signals V1 , V2 , and V3 . Then, a charge is generated at a CCD image sensor during exposure. A transition charge for inducing blooming can be generated unless it is reduced by some methods at an area with an increased strength. Therefore, to prevent blooming, the signals V1 and V2 are toggled during scattering period after flash exposure. The scattering period should last for the amount of time for preventing the charge remaining after the toggling from generating blooming, thus reducing blooming.
|
