PURPOSE:To miniaturize a switch to detect manually selected speed positions in a shift device which switches ordinary speed change ranges and manually selects speed. CONSTITUTION:A shift device with a manual speed selection mechanism of automatic transmission for vehicle is provided with a stationary member 1 fixed to a car body, swinging retainer 2 which is swingably forward and rearward around the shaft X of the stationary member 1, and shift lever 3 which is swingable rightward and leftward around the shaft X and a shaft Y and disengageable from the swinging retainer 2 by the rotation around the shaft Y, locking member 5 which make the swinging retainer 2 disengage from the stationary member 1, and a switch box 4 which detects the rotation of the shift lever 3. The switch box 4 is attached to the swinging retainer 2 to detect the displacement of the shift lever 3 to the swinging retainer 2 after being locked to the stationary member 1 by the locking member 5. |
