PURPOSE:To provide an image processor which performs transfer processing by effectively utilizing a storage device. CONSTITUTION:Attribute information on the height, width, transparency/ opaqueness discrimination, etc., of an image inputted from an image input means 5 is supplied to an image attribute indicating means 1 and further supplied to a storage area securing means 2 and an image attribute setting means 3. When a storage area for the input image and transparency are indicated, the storage area securing means 2 secures a storage area for mask data on a storage means 4. The start address of the secured storage area is supplied to the image attribute setting means 3 and set as an image attribute together with the attribute information. An image processing means 6 when the transfer of the image is indicated reads the image attributes of the transfer source image and a transfer destination image out of the image attribute setting means 3, decides whether or not there are mask data according to the value of the start address of the mask data, and performs transparent or opaque transfer processing according to the decision result. |
