PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power management system and power management method that are capable of stably supplying power from a storage battery even when power is tight, while mitigating deterioration of the storage battery.SOLUTION: A power management system for controlling output of a storage battery provided in a room having an air-conditioning facility includes: a setting value determination unit that while varying an output range of the storage battery, determines a reduction amount of peak power on the basis of a difference between a peak value of past actual data on load power and a peak value of purchase power and determines power consumption of the air-conditioning facility on the basis of power consumption of the storage battery's internal resistor and the air-conditioning facility's performance factor; and an output range determination unit that determines the storage battery's output range on the basis of a ratio of the reduction amount to the peak power and the air-conditioning facility's reduction ratio of the power consumption, in each of the varied output range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
