摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a battery with built-in mechanism which surely cuts off electrical conductivity inside against temperature rise due to abnormal current at the time of charge/discharge, concurrently prevents a cut-off condition from being freely restored by itself, and can also release the cut-off condition with ease, and furthermore provide the battery equipped with a temperature rise prevention mechanism, through which the cut-off condition can be judged from the outside. CONSTITUTION:In the sealing section of the battery, a conductive sealing plate 4 and an external electrode 8 with a void bored, are insulated and isolated at the peripheral section, and the sealing plate 4 and the external electrode 8 are electrically connected in a normal case in a space thus formed, so that a temperature sensitive spring 5 is disposed therein, which cuts off electrical conductivity with the circumference of the void 8 of the external electrode 8 with its shape altered when the battery is abnormally increased in temperature. Concurrently, a pawl shaped projection 7a is provided, which is insulated from the external electrode 8 holding the operating condition of the temperature sensitive spring 5 when electrical conductivity is cut off with the temperature sensitive spring 5 operated.
